As a mindset coach, I help individuals who want to master their mindsets in order to build resilience and leave inconsistency behind.

As a Food Body Self coach, I help individuals shift their focus from their body fat to their self-worth, feel at home in their bodies, and not only make peace with, but enjoy food and exercise. My philosophy is that it’s okay to pursue health without losing weight—but that weight loss is okay too, if that’s their choice, and if so to help them lose weight in the healthiest most sustainable way.

I strive everyday to live by the maxim, “Jack of all trades, master of all.”

I’m an opera singer, psychotherapist, music teacher, doctoral student, and mindset coach.

What all of these identities have in common is a desire to help others, a tenacious mindset, along with the ability to teach others how to cultivate and actualize their own mindsets and goals.

I first saw the power of mindset coaching in the way it has shaped my own stories, as I’ve gone from:

  • Floundering at a community college in the middle of nowhere, lost and without purpose, to thriving at the University of Michigan—a world-renowned university where I’m pursuing doctoral studies in anthropology and social work.

  • Squeaking out tunes on a slapdash fiddle at the age of seventeen to teaching hundreds of students how to sing, act, and move on a stage by the time that I turned 27.

  • Battling a painful, complicated relationship with food into somebody who loves himself, is secure in who he is, and has total control over what, when, why, and how he eats.

I’ve worked in prisons, mental health agencies, music studios, and online with children, teenagers, and adults from all walks of life.

My various hats as a social worker, musician-activist, and music teacher have provided me with the unique opportunity to serve extraordinarily diverse populations and individuals.

At first glance, these roles might appear disjointed. But at the heart of each is the ability to teach people how to achieve a balanced, healthy, and disciplined mindset: the prerequisite for success to all of our life’s goals and journeys.

In my journey I’ve helped people:

  • Communicate honestly and effectively with their significant others, friends, family members, and strangers in order to draw boundaries and deepen relationships

  • Increase their self-esteem and lessen anxiety by teaching people how to identify and challenge negative self-talk

  • Conquer performance-related anxieties and stage fright for actors, singers, and public speakers

I draw from a deep wellspring of experiences, knowledges, and perspectives as a mindset coach.

As a psychotherapist, I have experience working with various therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

I approach my work with clients and students from an holistic, strengths-based perspective, one that begins with the radical acknowledgement that we are all resilient, stronger than we have trained ourselves to believe, and have the ability to empower ourselves to create real, sustainable, and meaningful changes in our lives and in the world.

Would you like to learn more about harnessing the power of your mindset to unearth your strength and resilience?

Results like these are not only possible, they’re inevitable when you focus on the right kind of change: your mindset.

While it might feel like magic, it’s science: evidence-based practices combined to provide replicable success.
